Design Museum Boston features the latest in design in the Boston area as well as around the country. Branded as a new kind of museum without a fixed location, they design mobile pop-up exhibits which can travel around the city. This provided a unique design opportunity to create functional and informative exhibits which can easily be broken down and transported. Part of my role as an intern was to design the mobile cube structures which held panels for the exhibits. I also designed templates for the panels and signage displayed in the exhibit. The big exhibit I was involved with was We Design, which highlights designers who are women and people of different ethnic backgrounds to help promote diversity in design. This exhibit was displayed in a flexitale trailer as well as at a more permanent exhibit in the Bolling Building in Roxbury, MA.
